4H

Welcome to Miss Hudson's class.

H is for happy

In our class we have Miss Hudson, Miss Stevens, Mrs Bentley-Smith, Mr Walker and 30 happy and joyful children. As a class we are respectful and always ready to learn.

Our class is special because we are all friends and love each other! We also have our own unique talents that we like to share!

Our favourite things about school are the sports we play, the singing we do and the laughter we make. Most of all we love our school elephant painted by Miss Stevens! We love school so much we enjoy staying for after school clubs and classes.

In Year 4 we are most excited about our trip to Iqra Academy and getting really fast at our times tables!

Year 4 Key Information:

Homework

Compulsory homework includes reading. Please hear your child read daily. Record this in their reading journal and sign it.

Spellings are tested every Monday and your child will be sent home with their spellings on a Monday. Children need to get all 10 spellings correct before they can pass on to the next honeycomb.

Timestables are of paramount importance in Year 4. Therefore, TT rockstars should be accessed daily. Children will also be sent home with timetable booklets to finish off.

We have the multiplication check at the end of June which is a Government set test for the times tables.

PE

In year 4, our PE days are Thursday and Friday. Children can come to school in their PE kit which should include:

  • Plain white or school logo T-shirt
  • Plain black / navy shorts / leggings/joggers
  • Hair ties for children with long hair

Our elected roles in 4H are:
