School clubs

We are pleased to offer a wide range of lunchtime and after-school clubs. 90% of parents and carers told us there was something on offer for their child at Idle CE Primary School in our parent questionnaire (March 2024).

Lunchtime clubs encourage children to take part in everything from sports to mindfulness, there is something for everyone. Pupils enjoy lunch and breaktimes and get involved! Our most recent pupil questionnaire (March 2024) was really positive with 87% of our pupils agreeing that lunchtime and break time were enjoyable.

Our ever popular after school clubs offer the opportunity for children to take part in specialist sessions such as sports, art and music. The majority are run by our talented in-school staff. We also work with external providers to provide a range of opportunities. The Sing Thing is our school choir who contribute to school events but also organise their own events for parents. Wings Academy provides drama and performance opportunities for pupils after school. They also run holiday camps during the school holidays. The Sing Thing and Wings Academy are happy to provide further information to parents on request.

New for Summer 2024: After school Mr Parker is making the most of the Summer weather by running an outdoor rounders club on a Monday. Mr Boocock is running a cross-country club on a Thursday for KS2 pupils using our wonderful grounds. Mr Parkinson is running a Gymnastics club for KS1 on Thursday and Mr Rodgers is running a football club for Year 3-5 on a Friday. Mrs Russell's girl's football has moved to Tuesday evenings.

Do you have a talent? Do you love to perform? Mrs Mason is running KS2 Practise Club on Friday lunchtime for pupils who would like to take part in Idle Showcase on Thursday 23rd May at 5.30pm. Come and work on your routines in the KS2 hall over lunchtime!
