A high-quality geography education should inspire in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people that will remain with them for the rest of their lives. We equip our pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes. Geography is taught by starting to look at the world around us. Children explore the weather, seasons and our local environment before progressing to studying the formation and use of landscapes and environments around the world. Through both physical and human geography, children are able to make comparisons about the UK and specific countries studied. Learning map reading skills enables pupils to explore their local area as well as the world around them.
