The Bradford Youth Orchestra is holding live online auditions for new members to join from September.

We welcome applications from all orchestral instrumentalists, who must be Grade 5 level or above. We are particularly keen to find French horn, tuba and percussion players.

Auditions will be held on the morning of Saturday 27 June.

Students will be required to play 2 contrasting pieces and will be given some sight reading from recent orchestra repertoire.

If you have any students who you think would like to audition, please ask them to contact the Music & Arts Service at schoolsmusicandarts@bradford.gov.uk or 01274 434970

BRADFORD CATHEDRAL VIRTUAL AUDITIONS:
Bradford Cathedral are currently running 'Virtual Voice Trials' for the main Cathedral Choir using Zoom. This will allow children who are interested in joining to audition from home. All they need are a webcam and microphone. Parents can fill in a Google Form to sign their child up, and then a time will be arranged for the voice trial. The children just have to sing a couple of verses of Away in a Manger and read an excerpt from the Wind in the Willows. Cathedral staff intend to make sure it is all as relaxed as possible.

Auditions are open to any child in Years 2, 3 and 4.
