We also have Mrs Winterburn with us all day and Miss David in a morning both supporting individual pupils.
In our class we have 30 children. We are all very different and love lots of different things. Have a look at our self-portraits that we drew of ourselves in the style of our class artist Quentin Blake.
Year 2 Key Information:
Homework
Compulsory homework includes reading. Please hear your child read daily. Record this through marvellous me on the google form. Your child needs to read at least 4 times before their book is changed. Reading books will be changed every Tuesday. If your child is on a recommended read, they can change this when they have read it once.
Spellings are tested every Monday and your child will be sent home with their spellings on a Tuesday. Children need to get all 10 spellings correct before they can pass on to the next honeycomb.
PE
In year 2, our PE days are Wednesday and Friday. Children can come to school in their PE kit which should include:
· Plain white or school logo T-shirt
· Plain black / navy shorts
· Plain black / navy blue tracksuits (Year 2 only)
· Hair ties for children with long hair
· Pumps for games and wet days
Water Bottles
We understand the benefits of staying hydrated for general health and effective learning, so children may bring water bottles into school: please ensure that these are clearly named. Children should arrive in school with their water bottle filled and are able to top these up throughout the day.
