Year 5 Cliffe Castle Visit

Our Year 5 pupils visited Cliffe Castle Museum in Keighley on Thursday 3rd October in order to consolidate and extend their learning around the Ancient Egyptian civilisation.

Pupils were immersed on a journey down the Nile with a trader, where they found out about the objects Ancient Egyptians used in their daily lives and the importance of the Nile to travel and trade.

At the end of their journey, pupils arrived in the Valley of the Kings, where they were able to experience first hand, how the process of mummification was carried out. This hands-on workshop allowed our pupils to interact with real Ancient Egyptian artefacts whilst finding out more about life at the time.
