Pupils had the opportunity to take part in go karting, den building and an exciting adventure trail. In between their activities, pupils sat down for some interactive bible study where they were able to consolidate some of their RE learning.

Hand to mouth

Year 5 had the opportunity to do some work around plastics with hand to mouth. They learned all about the effect of plastic on the environment and they got the chance to explore alternatives to plastic items. They then created an image of the world with 5 things to make our environment better!

English

In English, Year 5 are beginning a new class novel called' The Good Thieves'.

In 1920s New York, Vita’s grandfather has been cheated out of his home by a con-man with Mafia connections.

She has come from England with her mother who wants to take him back with them but Vita is outraged and formulates a plan to get justice for her grandfather, despite her physical limitations. When she joins forces with an acrobat, a pickpocket and a horse-whisperer, she is sure her scheme will work but nothing has quite prepared this motley band for the dangers and challenges they meet.

May day

5N had a fantastic time celebrating May Day! They spent the morning learning about our British values and taking part in activities around them. In the afternoon, they took part in an amazing parade out on the field!
