English
We have been really enjoying our fantastic class novel, The Last Bear by Hannah Gold. We were really inspired by it and sad to learn of the plight of the polar bear. We wrote non-chronological reports about endangered animals, including the polar bear, and were able to publish these to make them look amazing!
History
We have been learning about the history of Haworth as part of Bradford City of Culture 2025. We found out that Haworth began in Anglo-Saxon times, and the name Haworth comes from the Anglo-Saxon words 'Haga' meaning enclosure and 'Worth' which meant fenced land. Haworth really expanded during the industrial revolution with the introduction of the mills and railway.
May Day
We enjoyed a brilliant May Day celebration this year, where we came in non-uniform and brought our scooters and bikes which we had decorated in the colours of the Union Jack. We learnt about our British values and our rights and responsibilities. In the afternoon, we all took part in a parade which was great fun!

Sports Day
What a fantastic time we had at sports day! The sun was shining, there were lots of races and having our parents and carers there made it extra special! As always, we mixed competition with supporting our friends and were a credit to ourselves!
