Welcome to 5M's class page.

We are a class that loves learning, respects others and most importantly has fun. We like to help each other and we treat everyone with kindness and compassion. 

Different faiths and cultures are represented in our class, which means that we can all learn from each other. We love learning and try to have a growth mindset.  

Our favourite subject is reading, especially our current class novel ‘Secrets of a Sun King’. We also love singing.  

This year, we are focusing on becoming leaders. We have already had Play Leader training and we are looking forward to starting the Archbishop of York's Young Leaders Award.

Important information

PE days this year are Monday and Wednesday. Our class will go swimming on Mondays after February half term.

Homework

Maths and English will be set on Mirodo every Friday, due in the following Friday.

Reading - children should read aloud at least four times a week (preferably daily) for a minimum of 10 minutes. Please record reading via the Marvellous Me app weekly, ideally each Friday.

Spellings - will be set via the Idle Spelling Bee. Honeycombs will be tested every Monday. If all 10 spellings are correct, new spellings will be sent home the following Tuesday.
