Autumn 1
Welcome!
We have had a brilliant first half term back at school, the children have done a great job getting back into routines. We have been exploring how we can show we are ready, respectful and safe around school and have earned our first reward, by filling up our jar with stars.
Writing
We have started a new learning journey that has involved using our imaginations to write a short story in the style of Andy Griffiths. Children have really enjoyed the drama activities during our immersion phase. Look below at our classes 'Rocking Writers' for this unit of writing.
Worship
As a class we have designed a class stone which represents us all as a class. Our stone will be taken to worship and placed with others across school to create a Cairn. This is a lovely way to demonstrate us coming together as a school family. We have also designed a vistors stone, which is placed with the other classes' stones, to welcome everyone into our school.

Maths
3B have been working hard, ensuring they have a deep understanding of Place value and are now moving on to our unit on addition and subtraction. Every morning pupils attempt four Fluency based questions, with either a quick teach moment or hints provided.

R.E
We have been thinking deeply about 'What it is like to live with God.' Over the last few weeks we have studied the story of Noah, from the Old Testament, and God's covenant to Noah. Pupils have started to consider how covenants we have made at school and home link to the story of Noah.
Covenants
Music
3B have been loving their Music lessons, learning to play the recorder. See facebook for a snippet of Week 4's sesson.
Writing
The children are currenlty writing their own Fact Files on the Industrila revolution. Watch this space or some of our star writers, from this unit!
