English

In English, we read the story "Mia makes a meadow" and made Idle's very own meadow using paper flowers.

We then learnt new suffixes to add to a root word. We used the suffixes -er, est and -ful to describe Mia's meadow. In our 'toolkit' phase we also learnt to use 'and' as a conjunction to join two short sentences or to add a clause to a sentence.

We produced our own description of the meadow we had made.

We are learning how to use plural suffixes and 'but' as a conjunction to help us in writing a comparison of two plants.
