Welcome back to the Spring Term in 4R! We have so much to look forward to in our learning and are very excited to get started!
Reading
We have started our new class novel called 'Varjak Paw' by S.F.Said. It's an exciting story about a cat who learns a special kind of cat ninja to help defeat the villain of the story and his black cats. We're excited to see how it develops!
Science
Our science topic is all about sound! We'll be finding out all about how sound travels and how we hear, including looking inside the ear!
In term 2 we looked at electricity and made circuits, testing materials to see if they were a conductor or an insulator.
Geography
In Geography we will be looking at volcanoes and earthquakes and answering the enquiry question "Why do volcanoes and earthquakes only happen in certain parts of the world?" We look forward to sharing our findings with you!
Spring Term 2
History
Who were the Anglo-Saxons? Where did they come from? How did they reshape Britain after the Romans left? These and many other questions will be answered through out Anglo-Saxon unit of work!
Science
In Spring term 2 we looked at electricity and how to safely use appliances in the home. We made circuits from cells, wires and bulbs, testing materials to see if they were conductors or an insulators.

Reading
We have read many extracts this term but our absolute favourite was Impossible Creatures by Katherine Rundell. In fact, we loved it so much, many of us bought the book or audiobook so we could finish it at home!
