A child centred and co-ordinated approach to safeguarding
All staff at Idle CE Primary school understand that safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all staff ensure their approach to safegaurding is child centred, meaning considering, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.
At Idle CE Primary School we aim to:
- Take appropriate action in a timely manner to safeguard and promote children’s welfare
- Ensure all staff are aware of their statutory responsibilities with respect to safeguarding
- Ensure all staff are properly trained in recognising and reporting safeguarding issues
The school plays a crucial role in preventative education related to safeguarding. This is in the context of a whole-school approach to
preparing pupils for life in modern Britain, and a culture of zero tolerance of sexism, misogyny/misandry, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia and sexual violence/harassment.
