Community links for families
We work closely with partners in our local community to offer extended support to all our families, whatever their need. If you require assistance establishing contact with any of the below services or have any questions in relation to what they can offer, please contact Alison Craven our Families and Welfare Co-ordinator who will happily assist with this. Early Help referrals to support you with:
- Parenting and behaviour issues
- Benefit entitlement advice
- Debt counselling / support with bills
- Mental Health and emotional issues
- Family Support Workers
Uniform Bank referrals for pre-loved clothing and our in school pre-loved uniform shop where good quality, second hand items can be purchased for a suggested donation of £2.
Community Foodbank referrals and 'grab a bag' food opportunities.
Wrap around child care providers/ child minders - (We can suggest names to you but accept no responsibility for their provision, the liability for this lies with parents/carers)
Regular parent information workshops advertised on website and by school email.
Signposting to organisations with a specific focus for a child's medical / wellbeing needs e.g. AWARE, MIND, Brathay Trust, Brew project, HALE, Young Carers etc.
We work in close partnership with Holy Trinity Church, Town Lane, Idle and regularly signpost families for support.
Holy Trinity Church offer:
- Community 'Warm Spaces' provision every Wednesday 2pm-4pm (until the end of March)
- Coffee afternoons, last Friday of each month 2pm - 4pm
- Small emergency foodbank (referral to this service is made by school, please speak to Mrs Craven if you require support)
- Pastoral support
- Ark breakfast and after school club - held daily at school 7:30am - 8:50am and after school 3.30pm-6pm.
- Sunshine Praise group for pre-school aged children. Every Tuesday in term time 10am - 11am (drop-in, no booking necessary)
- See & Know group for pre-school aged children. Every Friday in term time 9:30am - 11am (drop-in, no booking necessary)
- HTK group for secondary school children in years 7 - 9. Every Tuesday in term time 3pm - 4pm.
- Family services every Sunday at 11am - including children's church and youth group.
