We have had some fantastic lessons immersing ourselves in our text ‘The Little Books of the Little Brontes’. This has included lots of imagination in our ‘Let’s say’ scenarios. We have recreated, through drama, what daily life might have been like for the Bronte sisters, we have become curators of a museum uncovering precious artefacts and we have ‘hot seated’ the sisters to find out more about them. This has all been in a lead to up to do some focussed writing about the Bronte sisters.

May Day

What a beautiful day we had celebrating May Day as a school! The sun was shining and spirits were high. We ate a lovely picnic out on the field, made flags to show our support in class and then ended our day with our May Day parade. I’m sure the exciting and my joy of Idle Primary could be heard for miles around!
