Year 2's adventure to Sea Life Manchester

On Thursday 14th November, Year 2 went to Sea Life in manchester to explore the ocean habitat and the creatures inside.

They completed a workshop where they were able to understand the names of the layers of the ocean and which different creatures survive in each one. After this, they created their own creatures for a prticular part of the ocean and give a description as to why it lives there.

This linked to our geography sequence of learning where we named the 5 oceans but also our science topic on animals and understanding how they survive.

Below are some quotes from the children:

"I loved sea life, i had so much fun and we could see all the creatures. - Nell

"Thank you for taking us to sea life, it was the best trip, i loved seeing the giant turtles." - Isla

"The sharks were my favourite creature, they were so big and i had never seen a real shark before. - Addison

"I loved when we got to strok the starfish. I was expecting it to be like jelly but it was really hard and bumpy." - Leo
