Year 2 - Trip to Saltaire

Saltaire

The purpose of our visit was to understand what Titus Salt built and who he was. We were exploring the different features he had built and why with his impact on the wider community in Bradford. We had a Salts Talk where we were all given a bookmark with a person alive and living in Saltaire at the time of Titus Salt and understood his role in the community.

We learnt lots about why Titus did what he did and what it would have been like to work for him. We spent our afternoon finding the house our worker lived in and visiting the statue of Titus and his Alpacas.

We listened to our visitor in Victoria hall who told us all about Titus Salt - James
